Handwoven Moroccan Blanket Natural

In Morocco, these handwoven textiles are woven on home looms and the most special is detailed with gold thread, tassels, and pompoms.  These are commonly known as Handira and are given as gifts to mark special occasions.

This blanket is made with hand-dyed 100% natural cotton.  Like a long friendship, the natural cotton in  Moroccan blankets arrives with a bit of coarseness to them, but the fibers relax as the blankets are used and they soften beautifully with time and use. 

These are woven with very narrow bands of gold thread and feature beautiful tassels, perfect as a throw-over on the bed or sofa.
